" Now i am just going to Google it” is one of the most popular phrases observed throughout high school graduation and college campuses these days as a response to several unfamiliar questions. Google is one of the most popular search engines like google of the Net that is also known as the " Best Friend” of those whom constantly count on it to get guidance. Since the emergence of the Internet, there have been a huge issue over if Google plus the Internet all together is limiting the human thought process. Nicholas Carr is 1 author that believes even though Google could possibly be our " Best Friend”, it is not actually good for the way in which that we are beginning to think. Carr outlines his argument within this subject in the article " Is Yahoo Making All of us Stupid? ” and is questioned by a counter-argument by one other author, Trent Batson.
In the article " Can be Google Making Us Silly? ”, Nicholas Carr traces his thoughts about the unwanted side effects that the internet as a whole is wearing human‘s state of mind. His key point through the entire entire content is that for the reason that internet is very easy to access, it is contributing to human's laziness. Carr begins his argument simply by explaining his own personal romance with the internet and identifies how the using this technology has changed his reading patterns overall. Carr states that he used to be a powerful reader once, who had simply no problems reading books and lengthy content articles, but following the spread and accessibility in the internet, reading more than a couple of pages each time has become a trouble for him.
The main problem within just Google and the Internet, since Carr says, is the fact that it must be " chipping away convenience of concentration and contemplation" which can be ultimately due to distractions.
